Happy Saturday friends! This week made me wonder w Happy Saturday friends! This week made me wonder what our country would look like if we all strived to seek who the Lord is and wanted to be in a relationship with Him. Have you tried? Do you know where to start? Bible study with women who have the desire to understand the Lord has been so important to me. It has helped me answer those hard questions and gave me peace when everything else failed. And I still fail as a Christian, the Word explains that but it also provides hope to us all. Looking forward to celebrating the upcoming season of that hope.

It’s the weekend and our family is usually somew It’s the weekend and our family is usually somewhere on a sports field! Sports are such a big part of our lives. I truly believe that with the right coaches and supportive, loving, and God-fearing family, kids will have experiences and develop skills on the field that will help them succeed as they grow into adults. My husband shared this podcast with me and I love that we can listen to it with our kids in the car. They have so many amazing athletes on this show that provide great advice not just for youth sports but raising good kids. Below are some of my notes I took. Happy weekend friends 💕 - [ ] Our job as parents is to teach our kids spiritual discipline. - [ ] Multiple sports YES!!! - [ ] Where does God sit in our priorities every day? - [ ] Be creative to find time with the Lord when you can’t make it to church Sunday 👏 - [ ] Don’t push your passion on your kids - [ ] Humility requires a lot of confidence in knowing your identity and who you are. Question: where does your identity come from? - [ ] Play the game right no matter what! Character is important more than how your kids are playing! - [ ] Sports can shape character if done right…with Jesus! - [ ] Coaches- check your motives. Is it about you? - [ ] Teach each kid differently…what is their pulse? - [ ] Find what your kid is passionate about and cheer them along even if you don’t know anything about. Don’t live vicariously through your kids! - [ ] Open lines of communication, no condemning, no coaching, listen. Don’t always give advice. - [ ] Kids are approved by Mom and Dad no matter what. They don’t need to seek out approval! Though the debate is over a week old, and media continues to share their narrative, take some time to listen to something different to compare it to what you see in media and read/hear from others. Ask yourself how did your worldview develop on these topics and does your worldview align with every scenario there is under these topics. I love how Lila points out the comments that are not truthful from both parties and elaborates with truth. So how do you decide on what party to vote for? Notes I took from this podcast for you to think about: - [ ] Do you know what happens to babies that survive an abortion attempt in Minnesota? - [ ] Do you know the response of the previous Governor of Virginia when he was asked what would happen to a baby that survived an abortion attempt? - [ ] Why are there exceptions? Pro-life is not exceptions. - [ ] When/Why should someone decide if a baby lives or dies? - [ ] What is abortion? Intentional killing of a baby - [ ] Does abortion violate our constitution? - [ ] What does protection mean? - [ ] What is morality? Is protecting your body more moral than protecting an innocent child’s life? - [ ] We don’t own our children, we are entrusted with them 💕 Purpose! - [ ] What is a miscarriage? - [ ] Abortion doesn’t take away rape or create justice for the mother. Abortion takes out lethal violence (the death penalty) on a new life/innocent 3rd party. Abortion is another act of violence. - [ ] Overturn of Wade vs Roe is only the beginning, not the end! *These are my notes. Not perfect. How is a patient being protected if they are allowed to go home alone with medication without any physician consult?
